Thailand: The Cave Room

We got some really good deals on nice hotels in Thailand because of all the trouble they were having at the airport with the protests and all. Lots of people had canceled their trips and the vacancies gave us some awesome savings. This hotel in Chiang Mai was my favorite! We stayed her the night before we went to the elephant camp. The hotel was outside of the city center, away from everything. It was quite and peaceful and the rooms had different themes based on different tribal cultures from different time periods in Thailand. We got to stay in the cave room. It was a luxurious cave! The bed was huge (Markian is on it above) and really comfy. The lights turned on and off by pulling the branches of the "tree" you see below. There was a "fire" that lite up under the tree at night.

Above: The celing was made of glass so you could gaze up at the stars at night. I loved it!
The bathroom was huge with a really pretty sink and a huge bathtub and separate shower.

The ceiling was also glass in the shower.
We ate there as there was nothing else around. The food was quite good. And there were so many bunnies hopping around everywhere! I petted them after we ate. This place just couldn't get any more awesome!

Below: Other rooms at the hotel.

I wish we could have stayed longer here! We only paid about $70 to stay because the place was dead. It's usually way more expensive. I would love to stay here again, as I want to go back to Chiang Mai. It was my favorite place in Thailand.
